In France there are many short-distance carpooling platforms (for journeys of less than 50 km on average). Some of them are specialized in an even more specific type of carpooling.We can mention in particular :
For home-work carpooling: Klaxit, Karos, Bemobi, Weepil, Mobicoop…
For home-leisure carpooling, for last-minute trips: Citygo
For free carpooling : Trajet à la carte, Roulez Malin, La Roue Verte…

Car pooling is not developed in students as the peak of the detention rate, or saturation, corresponded quite clearly to the age groups between 26 and 34 years old. Students report an average commute time of 20 to 37 minutes between home and to their place of study which is quite long.
NEEDS AND PERSONA
The users of this application are divided into two groups. Those who offer their services and those who ask. Their needs are different.
The consumers offering their service are all student drivers living far from their college. For example, Emma a 22 years old student. Her main motivation is to be able to go to university by car quickly. Her main need is to save money and have a less negative ecological impact. Her frustration is to drive alone and know that she is not the only one driving to her university from her neighborhood.
Consumers who want a service are those who are far from school and find their commute to college lengthening on public transportation.
For example, an 18-year-old student. His main motivation is to be able to continue to go to college faster. His main need is to preserve his small budget. His frustration is to have his school trip lengthened to get to his university because of public transportation.
